Thirteen Cool Things About My New Car
After checking out all the available information and test driving cars we ended up buying a 2008 Dodge Charger R/T. It doesn’t get the best gas mileage, but had all the features we wanted.
It has a 5.7l V8 Hemi with 350 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. It doesn’t purr, it growls!
Lots of leg room in the front and back
It drives like a dream. Smooth, powerful and responsive.
U-connect — Bluetooth hands free calling connected to my families cell phones
GPS navigation so I don’t get lost
Rear view mirror automatically dims when bright lights get closer
Leather seats with suede accents
Power moon roof
Fog lights (I’ve never had fog lights)
Dual zone air conditioning means my side of the car can be cooler
The car monitors the tire pressure
Sirius satellite radio
Power Adjustable pedals—the distance of the break and gas pedals can be adjusted
I can’t wait to get out on the highway in the Charger for our first road trip at the end of the month. *Note to self: Watch for speed traps in Georgia.

You gotta get a photo with you in that red dress steppin’ out of your new car. Actually, get one of them alphas too, he can be helpin’ you out of the car like a gentleman. Then of course he’s gonna bow at you feet and beg to be your slave. LOL
Love the color but I probably would of gone for black. Does it come in black?

LOL! Those would be some interesting pic, Rachel. Yes the car does come in black. They have a dark titanium color I liked but not with all the options I wanted.
I love it! Good for you for taking such good care of yourself! A lot of authors really fall short in self care due to “oh I don’t know if it will sell syndrome!” Congratulations on the contract as well.

We’re getting a new (to us!) car soon and I can’t wait for the leather seats and GPS! Oh how lovely it will be! And automatic locks and doors. We currently have all manual and with an infant it is a pain in the butt! Ha!

Don’t ya just love all the buttons and switches on the new cars. My mother-ni-law felt like she was in an airplane cockpit the first time she sat in our Tahoe. She nearly freaked when we tested OnStar and the operator could tell us exactly where we were located (on a rural country road)! Now we have an ’08 Nissan Pathfinder and the fun begins again.
