In a tragic twist of fate, Michael Claret lost his true love. He knows her soul will return and has waited decades for their passionate reunion, but getting her back is only a small part of the battle. Edie has changed, reincarnated as a different woman—Elisa. Not only will Michael have to once again win her heart, he must also gain her acceptance of his true nature. And to keep her requires she make a huge leap of faith by completing the mating bond—a sharing of blood binding them together for eternity.

Fate is a cruel mistress who will not be cheated or denied. To make the most of their second chance, Michael and Lis must alter the path chosen for them and rewrite their love story or be lost to each other forever.

{January 21, 2009}   1st Annual SAMMIE AWARDS

The reviews are rolling in and they are fabulous! Thank you Abi and Valerie. Yay! I’m so glad you enjoyed Darius and Andi’s story.

Abi from The Romance Stuido gave Have A Little Faith In Me a 5 Heart rating!
“Have A Little Faith In Me is the latest fabulous edition to the Hussies series. Written by Nicole Austin, this is a deeply emotional story. The sexual tension is awesome and when the two finally come together, they burn deep and so hot that the room temperature rises several degrees. Nicole has a talent for creating mind-blowing love scenes that are super charged with electricity. Her characters are endearing. Smooth dialogue and a rather amusing twist add to the overall entertainment. I loved it!”

Here’s what Valerie from Manic Readers had to say.
Nicole Austin’s latest contribution to the Hussy Series, Have a Little Faith in Me, is fantastic. With a great cast of characters and a solid plot this story is a wonderful quick read for anyone. Well written and entertaining, as we have come to expect from Ms. Austin.

Marking one’s territory was never so naughty…

Dolan Crane would love to hate the beautiful new veterinarian who’s horning in on his territory. It’s tough when the flame-haired fantasy come true makes his body burn with just a smile. The smart thing to do is forget about her, so perhaps a threesome arranged by his old college buddy is just what he needs to get her out of his head.

Divorcee Tracy Marx has followed her restless feet to Santa Ysabel to start a new practice—and maybe find someone to take her outside the boundaries of vanilla sex. Instead she finds trouble in the form of a cowboy whose dark, sexy gaze lights her up—and could also destroy any chance of success. The best thing to do is stay far, far away from him.

When Dolan shows up for the promised night of fantasy, he’s shocked to find Tracy has traded her medical bag for a leather bustier and bondage gear. Tracy would like nothing better than to slap that smirk right off Dolan’s face, but the prospect of being sandwiched between two men is impossible to resist—even if one of them is her adversary.

Besides…no one calls her chicken.

Nic’s Recommendation:

Take Me Again is book two in the Wild Oats series but can totally stand on its own. I still recommend you read Take Me since its a great read.

We first met Dolan Crane in Take Me and boy is he one hot hunky alpha who gets all the ladies panties dripping wet. In this story that hasn’t changed one bit and the sexual hotness of this story is ramped up even higher. Dolan and Tracy scorch the pages with their wicked lustful vibes. Add their friend Rowdy to the mix and sitting quietly in your seat is not an option. While these three explore the erotic pleasures of a threesome you will be fanning yourself as you get overheated.

This book isn’t just about sex, though. It’s also a wonderful, heartfelt story that I really enjoyed reading. I got wrapped up in watching these two people who are commitment shy work out their problems. They fight to overcome the negative factors in their lives and make them into positive ones. Even when all looks doomed, in the end everything jells together and a happily-ever-after ending is achieved.

Take Me Again by Mackenzie McKade hit the spot and I found myself unable to put the book down. It’s definitely a book anyone will enjoy reading. Take Me Again is available from Samhain Publishing.

{January 11, 2009}   I Need A Hero!

I got some great news. My two stories in The Hussies series, Flyboy and Have A Little Faith In Me, will be paired together for a print book. The title will be Holding Out For A Hero. I don’t have an exact date yet but it will be available by mid April 09. WOOT!

Marcy Arbitman, a reviewer for Just Erotic Romance Reviews, has given Have A Little Faith In Me a 5 Star review! Wowza! Thanks so much Marcy. I’m thrilled that you’re enjoying the series and that Have A Little Faith is your favorite of all the great stories.

Here’s Marcy’s review of the book:
“Nicole Austin has written the most recent Hussies book, Have A Little Faith In Me and it was an amazing story. Andi was an incredibly lovable woman and my favorite character. She made friends with her coworkers and the sick children love her. Darius was an equally well-written character who spent his life helping the tiny people who need his skillful hands. The two main characters were totally true to life and Ms. Austin’s plot was perfect. There were a number of secondary characters, all of whom were completely realistic. Once Darius and Andi realize that they loved each other, they had extremely HOT sex. I was having hot flashes as I read. Andi’s complicated problem was set up beautifully and she handled it in an amazing way. I have loved all of the Hussies stories, but Have A Little Faith In Me was my favorite. Try it, you’ll love it!”

Tapestries series, Book 4

Now three men share Kathryn’s bed, all bent on satisfying her every desire. But Marc is resolved to make her his alone. He has three days to convince her…before the tapestry returns.

Nic’s Recommendation:

The books that truly touch us, draw us in, make us feel connected and invested in the story are few and far between, and are treasured all the more for their rare beauty. I like to call them my comfort books. They are books I cherish and hold dear. They are the ones residing on the top row of the bookshelf in my bedroom. These editions are not pristine and certainly do not appear brand new. Nowhere close. They bear the wear and tear of well loved books that have been enjoyed time and again.

As soon as it becomes available in print, Threads of Destiny will claim a spot on that shelf as a prized part of my print book collection. Hands down, it is the best book I’ve read in a long time.

A close friend and I have grumbled endlessly over the past year about how few really good books we’ve read. I’d almost forgotten what it felt like to be so wrapped up in a story that I refused to put it down and dragged it with me everywhere. Marc and Kathryn’s story held my rapt attention from the first sentence to the last. I laughed, cried and at times burned so hot I expected to go up in flames. I delighted over a wonderful surprise of the book Kathryn cherished and her thoughts of the author. And catching up with other well loved characters from the world of Javara was priceless.

N.J. Walters is an amazing storyteller and I’ve loved all her books. Until now, Katie’s Art of Seduction and the hero Cain were my undisputed favorite of all her wonderful tales. Once I’ve read Threads of Destiny a few more times I’ll decide if this is my new favorite. Right now I can’t make up my mind as I’m still riding the reader’s high of a fabulous read.

Go out and get Threads of Destiny as soon as it releases on January 14th from Ellora’s Cave Publishing. It can be read as a stand alone, but if you haven’t read them yet, pick up all of N.J. Walters’ Tapestries series. You can thank me later, just get the books now so you can be a satisfied reader too! Enough said.
