Here’s my list. Eight things you didn’t know about me… 1. I’m not about to run unless something scary is chasing me. When I was in the military I ran all the time and developed shin splints, which are very painful. No more running for me.2. I enjoy making counted cross stick pictures. Not that I have the time or patience for it anymore.3. I have a lead foot and a very fast, red car. Not exactly a great combination, but my radar detector helps keep me out of trouble.4. I live in Florida where a lot of people would love to be, but want out. It’s sweltering hot here 11 months out of the year and we have hurricanes. The mountains are where I want to be. I’d love to move to Asheville, NC.
5. History is not my thing. I hated it in school and can’t stand reading books about things that happened in the past. Boring. *snore* Although they are a great cure for insomnia.
6. When I was in the Army, I was an Audio/Visual Production Specialist. This means I had a sissy job and ran around with a video camera instead of any cool weapons. I did train with M-16’s, M-60 machine guns and Claymore landmines in basic training though, just in case.
7. I don’t make my bed unless company (not close friends, they know I’m not into housework) is coming over. I figure what’s the point. I’m just going to mess it all up again anyway. And I can’t stand having the sheets tucked in, trapping my feet.
8. I love to play in the rain and splash in puddles as long as there’s no lightning.

All this time I’ve known you, and you never mentioned you were in the Army. You’ve been holding out! My 8 things are now up in my blog. *g*
I didn’t know you were in the Army. Hoe cool is that? lol. As far as the mountains goes, you can have em. I am surrounded by em and it’s not all it’s cracked up to be.
Yup, I was only in for two years though. When I got pregnant with my daughter they gave the option of an honorable discharge and I took it since I was on my way to the Pentagon if I got my top-secret designation. Not something I was prepared for at such a young age!
The mountains–well, I’ve lived 2 miles from the Gulf of Mexico for 35 years (minus my military time), so I’m ready for a change.
I’ve mentioned the Army a few times in interviews, and I thought I’d mentioned it on the playground, Charli. It really wasn’t that big of a deal, other than I was toned and looking good. Then I went and got pregnant and all that went to pot. LOL!

Asheville is where I was born and raised at least about 10 miles outside of town. My kids were born there too. Though we aren’t living in the area now it’s nice to see someone ready to head for the mountains. It’s a beautiful place.
